Get a virtual visit from Teladoc
Health concerns can happen when you least expect them. And it's not always easy to get to a doctor. Whether you're traveling, home with a sick child or don't have the time to make an appointment, you'll have a new resource for care. Once you become an Aetna member, you and your eligible dependents have 24/7/365 access to U.S. board-certified doctors, including pediatricians, by phone or video.
Simply call or log in/set up an account on the Teladoc website to request a consultation. You'll get connected to a physician licensed in your state.*
Teladoc doctors can treat non-emergency conditions like:
Cold and flu symptoms
Ear infections and more
Plus, you can avoid the hassle of a waiting room because you can use Teladoc from the convenience of home or work.
And, your Teladoc visit costs less than a trip to the ER or urgent care center. And it will never cost more than a doctor’s office visit.
*Teladoc consults are available only in the United States. Teladoc is available in all states, except Arkansas. Video consults are not available in Texas. Telephonic consults are not available in Idaho. Georgia has state regulations that limit the duration of a new prescription to three days. However, an existing medication refill can be granted for 30 days.

A new mental health program for young adults that includes free peer support sessions starting this week
A growing number of Americans continue to experience heightened stress and worsening mental health issues. The problem is especially hard on young adults – a vulnerable and often overlooked population – and it may worsen as the weather turns colder, further isolating everyone indoors.
As you may have read last week, we launched Here 4 U, a Behavioral Health/Resources For Living program that builds on the success and momentum of our Time For Care work to provide much-needed mental health resources to young adults.
Here 4 U encourages young adults – those aged 18-24 – to seek the mental health they need to understand and cope with depression, stress, anxiety, isolation, and suicidal ideation. The goals?
• Help educate young adults about mental health issues and the importance of seeking care from professionals
• Confront the stigma of mental health that may prevent young adults from reaching out and seeking care
• Provide information, tools and peer resources to colleagues, members, customers, colleges and universities and mental health care providers
How Here 4 U may be able help the young adults in your life
To kick off the first phase, Here 4 U is offering free virtual peer support sessions. These sessions will allow participants to open up about how they are coping during COVID-19. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 24 can register here by choosing one of the times.
• November 18 @ 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. ET
• November 18 @ 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. ET
• November 19 @ 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. ET
• November 19 @ 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. ET
Also, Resources for Living (RFL) offers a variety of well-being services and support options for everyone, even for those not on an Aetna insurance plan. Young adults can call RFL at 1.833.327.AETNA (1.833.327.2386) for in-the-moment phone support.
If a young adult in your life is struggling, please don’t wait. Encourage them to seek professional help andgo to http://aetna.com/TimeforCare to sign up for this free program.
